Metal is an important material both in the manufacture of the dishwashers themselves and as a material for various dishware components. For this reason, Chapter 8 deals with metals which can be used for wash ware or in dishwashers. Special attention is paid to the material stainless steel. The conditions under which even stainless steel can corrode (rust) and the role played by processing quality and material selection are explained succinctly. Finally, ways of causing and eliminating discoloration on metal parts are explained and what should be taken into account when cleaning cutlery parts.
